mission 1st block

Food is the single most impactful driver in human health

Our challenge: rethink food as our primary source for a healthy life, and produce it in a way that supports our planet.

We grow superior quality ingredients with care and offer healthy, local food that is free of pesticides and plastic, at a price affordable to anyone.

about us

We are the next generation of farmers

Youths with the desire to actively contribute to solving the climate crisis we are experiencing.

Passionate about food, wellness and sustainability, we decided to bring these interests together in a single project that aims to speed up the transition to sustainable agriculture.

our mission

Grow Km0 superfoods, with less resources

Less water used

Mechanical agriculture accounts for 70% of water waste.

Buoono uses up to 95% less water than mechanical agriculture

Zero CO2 emissions

1/4 of greenhouse gas emissions come from mechanical agriculture.

Buoono's urban food production and delivery systems are completely electric and carbon neutral

Zero Plastic

37% of European supermarkets' products are wrapped in plastic.

Buoono packaging is entirely made of FSC certified paper

Zero Deforestation

50% of habitable land is already used by agriculture.

Buoono adopts a vertical food production system which preserves forests and soil from intense farming

our method

Vertical Farming, in the city

We use a method that allows us to give our plants the optimal levels of light, water, nutrients and humidity, for them to be more tasty and nutritious

By farming vertically, we can grow in urban areas, with no need to transport food, use pesticides, continue deforestation, or intensive use of the soil, factors that lower the food quality and negatively impact the environment.

...even in the most extreme environments

As our future in Space gets closer, we need to figure out how to produce food where there is no fertile soil, water and labour force.

While we contribute to solve climate issues on Earth, we're also solving the biggest challenges to produce food in orbit on other planets, like Mars.

a small step for humans,
a giant leap for humankind
